Twin Falls
Established in 1904, Twin Falls is a major population center that serves the greater South Central Idaho population of 175,000 along with another 50,000 residents across the border in northern Nevada. Amenities include retail shopping, medical needs, education (College of Southern Idaho).
The Twin Falls irrigation system was the first of it's kind in the US, and has remained in private rather than public ownership. Still an agricultural center, Twin Falls is one of Idaho's faster growing communities (27% during the 90s). Many new residents are former residents who grew up in the area and now find a variety of career opportunities in manufacturing, distribution, hi-tech and the professions.
